L'Acer TravelMate 6293 è stato progettato per ottimizzare l'equilibrio tra preformance elevate, ultraportability ed un superiore livello di efficienza. Connettività e Sicurezza

TravelMate 6293 ti consente di comunicare senza limiti in ogni luogo, grazie ad un set completo di opzioni di connessione di rete: dalla Intel® Wireless WiFi Link 5100/5300 (dual-band quad-mode 802.11a/b/g/Draft-N) Wi-Fi CERTIFIED® alle connessioni Gigabit LAN e modem. Inoltre, piena connettività WWAN è garantita dalla disponibilità di GSM/GPRS/EDGE quad-band a 850/900/1800/1900 MHz e della connessione UMTS/HSPA a 2100 MHz, sui modelli con specifiche configurazioni UMTS. Inoltre accurati controlli dell’identità dell’utente sono garantiti dal lettore di impronte digitali Acer Bio-Protection che supporta la Pre-Boot Authentication (PBA), uno dei più programmi di controllo per i portatili più sicuri sul mercato.
Infine la sicurezza fisica del notebook è gestita dalla tecnologia DASP che unisce innovative soluzioni hardware and software per proteggere l’hard disk del notebook in caso di urti e cadute
