  • 2009-07-17 - Milan Acer today presented the new G243HQ widescreen LCD monitors, with a 80000:1 contrast ratio, for images becoming alive on screen, specifically designed for gamers and users who are looking for flawless high-definition graphics and seamless motion for today’s graphic-intense and fast-paced games.

    The G243HQ display has an innovative and radical design, with a striking orange copper/black colour scheme. The forceful exterior design, with slanted surfaces and sharp corners, endows the G243HQ with a powerful look, while deeply carved lines on the base of the foot stand convey a rugged military look and feel.     Encased in a copper coloured bezel, the 23.6-inch widescreen panel supports a resolution of 1920x1080, making this monitor the perfect choice for advanced 1080p Full HD gaming and multimedia applications. The accelerated response rate of 2ms significantly improves grey-to-grey levels, which delivers high-quality moving pictures for 3D games and videos and makes a dramatic difference to the moving-picture viewing experience.

    • Acer eColor Management, a technology which adapts the performance of the panel to different environments, lighting conditions and viewing preferences. Acer eColor Management optimizes the image for an enhanced front-of-screen performance, with a range of user-selected scenarios: standard mode (normal settings for medium-level display performance), text mode (suited for on-screen viewing of documents, spreadsheets, etc.), graphics mode (for colourful static images) and user modes (lets you fine-tune basic settings and personalize your viewing experience);

    • Adaptive Contrast Management (ACM) dynamically adjusts the contrast ratio of the input image to achieve ultra-sharp images. Every scene is analyzed to adjust images frame by frame and enhance colour quality, achieving the whitest whites and the deepest blacks.     • Acer eDisplay Management a new application specifically developed to fine-tune all functions normally controlled by the OSD buttons on the front panel. Acer eDisplay Management helps manage brightness, contrast, focus (choosing the native resolution) position, colour balance and temperature. Each personalized setting can be stored and quickly recalled for different applications or lightning conditions.
    Zoning/Picture In Picture enables users to quickly select and adjust a region on the display, independently from the desktop. This feature is very useful to get the best viewing quality for each application window open on the desktop.
    Acer eDisplay also supports additional tools like theft management, colour management and asset management for MIS managers to remotely control the display settings and lifecycle.
